Startup Survival

5% of Canadian small businesses do not survive past their first year, and by the year five, only 69% are still in business. Starting a new business is difficult. It requires proper business planning, funding and the dedication and hard work of the business owner. For most people, it’s an overwhelming undertaking and entrepreneurs need all the help they can get. That’s why Business Accelerators and Incubators (BAIs) are more popular than ever. Business accelerators and incubators (BAIs) in Canada work with entrepreneurs to help them survive and flourish in their early and growth stages.

Accelerator or Incubator?

Finding the right way to access BAI support is too time consuming and difficult, requiring trial-and-error applications to multiple organizations. Even for those that find a path and are accepted into a BAI, they may not have found the right support for their unique business case. To ensure success and not waste time and resources, entrepreneurs need to find the right BAI based on their needs.

Entrepreneurs benefit greatly from BAI support, but they struggle to find and choose the right one that matches with their needs. Venture Raven connects entrepreneurs to Canadian BAIs, providing personalized and data-driven BAI matching and application support services so that entrepreneurs can get into the BAI that is right for them. Our up-to-date database includes programs, funding and grants, mentor profiles, professional networks, and application requirements of Canadian BAIs. Our online tools streamline the application process so that entrepreneurs can select for success.
